American supermodel Milla Jovovich was born on December 17, 1975 in Kiev, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union to a Serbian doctor, Bogdanovitch Jovovich, and a Soviet actress of Russian descent, Galina Loginova. Although she is primarily known by many as an actress, Milla is also a singer-musician and a fashion designer.
Milla was only eleven when she modelled for a photographer named Richard Avedon in a Revlon advertisement. She signed her first professional modelling contract in 1988, and soon appeared on the covers of fashion magazines such as Cosmopolitan and Vogue. It was also in 1988 when she obtained her first movie role in the romance-thriller "Two Moon Junction".
Today, Milla is best known for playing tough action roles in movies such as the "The Fifth Element" in 1997, the "Resident Evil" series, and "Ultraviolet" in 2006.
