Melissa Satta

Melissa Satta (born February 7, 1986) is an Italian-American model, television presenter and actress. She spent her youth in the island of Sardinia, land of origin of her parents. She was a showgirl in the Italian satirical series Striscia la notizia. She has appeared in Maxim magazine and was featured in the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Early years
Satta was born to Italian parents on February 7, 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts, she has spent the early years of her childhood living in both the U.S. and in Sardinia, Italy.After graduating from high school she enrolled in the faculty of Communication studies.
Satta has a history of sports, having practiced both women's football, where she played for the women's team of Helena Quartu formally of the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione and karate, with which she was Sardinian junior karate champion and was a bronze medalists at the Italian Karate Championships.
Satta began working in the fashion industry at age 16, and the following year (2003), at 17, she was among the finalists of the beauty contest Miss wall (edition 2003), and obtaining the title of Miss extreme. In 2005, she began working as an assistant in the Italian television program Mio fratello è Pakistano, which was starred by Teo Mammucari on Canale 5. In the same year she was appointed as spokesperson for the advertising of TIM.
On the 26 September 2005, she appeared on the Italian television program Tissue in Striscia la notizia from years 2006 to 2007 and 2007 and 2008. In 2006, Satta featured in numerous Mediaset television programs, such as Judge Mastrangelo 2, as well as a minor part in the Italian movie Bastardi. In the fall of 2006, Satta paraded the catwalks in Milan's fashion spring / summer 2007 to the Pin Up Stars collection.
In the summer of 2007, she starred in the MTV Italy program the last part of Total Request Live, along with Alessandro Cattelan, and also presented on Fashion TV and the Italian The White Party Fashion TV satellite channel. In the autumn of 2008, alongside Teo Mammucari, Satta presented the Italian quiz-show First and last, which was inspired by an English format of Endemol UK, and was broadcast on Rai 1 in Italy.In 2009, Satta replaced the Chilean model Maria Jose Lopez, on the role of the female face of the Italian talk show Controcampo on Rete 4. Also in 2009, Satta was among the finalists in the competition of Victoria's Secret, which sees two other winners, in which were the internationally famous supermodel's Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Candice Swanepoel.
In February 2010, Satta was chosen by the magazine Sports Illustrated for the special year dedicated to swimwear (Sports Illustrated Magazine Swimsuit Issue), together with other wives of famous footballers such as, Abigail Clancy (wife of Peter Crouch), Sarah Brandner (girlfriend of Bastian Schweinsteiger), and Bethany Dempsey (wife of Clint Dempsey) for a photo shoot that "wearing" a body painting representing the top of the Italy national football team.
Personal life
Satta's father, Enzo Satta, is an architect, he was a political adviser and business partner to Prince Aga Khan IV and an Italian politician from Sardinia, from 1986 until 2003, where he was responsible for the planning of Costa Smeralda (Emerald Coast) in Sardinia.Satta has two brothers, Riccardo, who is a business magnate and lives in Monaco, and the youngest of the two, Maximilian.Satta was in a five years relationship with former Italian footballer Christian Vieri. Since the start of October 2011, she has been dating footballer Kevin-Prince Boateng of A.C. Milan.Filmography
